Recently I discovered that a neighbor of mine had both cancer of the bladder and an aortic aneurysm, making operating on the one a risk for the other. I thought I had heard about an aorta repair operation that was minimally invasive, so I checked it out and found this article, Minimally Invasive Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm Repair. Orthoscpic applications reduce a tremendous amount of stress on the body during serious surgery and this one is another example of how that technique is saving lives.
